That's the problem with doors. You must always guess at the weight of them.

When they are heavier than your conscious, you have to give more of yourself to get to places you had already hesitated to enter.

He likes light doors.

He likes screen doors with no squeaks. He can slip in and sneak to corners easily.

He buys clothes with hidden pockets and invisible seams. He buys clothes in shades of grandfather's linen.

Always prepared to blend in with tapestry, to sink into tapestry, to be tapestry.

The best part of being a magician is not the gasp that lingers after you disappear.

It's the applause.

It's the anticipation in their faces.

It's the feeling that you were wanted back.
