One Day

One day, before I die,

I'll ride the wings of a butterfly.

Holding on to what is free,

releasing the demons inside of me.

Sun swept meadows in the clear,

nothing to hinder, nothing to fear.

One day, before I leave,

I'll climb to the top of the tallest tree.

Watching life as it drifts by,

counting the clouds in the sky.

Leaving all lifes pain behind,

at least escaping my troubled mind.

This is so beautiful. The introspective thoughts of this. I love how it's like confident but also being realistic to the fact that you haven't achieved certain things and it seems like you may be a bit fearful, but you're going to do it. This is so motivating, and beautiful. Dreaming is the motivation to live the life that you're meant to live, and when you put those words out there into the Universe, your opportunity to do so will come. Lovely poem Brittany.
