Ole Gunnar Solskjær says that he keeps in touch with Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland, but is satisfied with Manchester United's transfer policy.

Haaland has developed into one of the world's most productive strikers, scoring 43 goals in 43 appearances for Dortmund since joining Red Bull Salzburg in late 2019.

Solskjaer, who coached Haaland in his time as head of the Norwegian club Molde, reportedly meets the 20-year-old before moving to Germany after United scout Marcel Bout saw him play against Liverpool in the Champions League last season.

United met Haaland's € 20m release clause. At the time, however, could not agree on the terms of the transfer, as the stumbling block is assumed to be the value of the desired buy-out option if the Norwegian international moved to the Old Trafford barcelona trøje.

Haaland is under contract in Dortmund until 2024, but has a reported release clause of DKK 75 million. €, coming into force in the summer of 2022 manchester united trøje.

A number of Europe's top clubs have been linked with a move to Haaland, including United Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester City, as well as La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Edinson Cavani, Donny van de Beek and Scott McTominay remain out as United welcome Real Sociedad to Old Trafford for the second round of their Europa League final draw on Thursday at Chelsea Jalkapallo Paidat.

Van de Beek and Cavani missed that match due to muscle complaints, while McTominay has not been involved since he was brought out in 60 minutes in the match against Sociedad.

In January, Amad Diallo signed his debut from the bench in Turin, while midfielder Shola Shoretire bowed as a replacement in Sunday's 3-1 win over Newcastle.

Hannibal Mejbri, 18, closed his first team debut, but injury has delayed it.

Solskjær's bench looked different on Sunday, when the club confirmed that some of the coaches had to isolate themselves - a situation that the United boss said remains unchanged.
