TO BE ALONE

Silently watching, yet internally yearning;

A face without expression, a sound without noise;

A fresh new start, an unbroken heart

An impulsion of sadness, driven apart.

A head set high, on shoulders of doom;

A saved breath, for just a word or two.

Eyes of blue, to represent truth;

And a change to begin anew.

Numb fingers, scarred nerves;

Broken down smile to erase the world;

Feelings of hate, that will not cease

Have to wait to surface; like usual.

In such a life its hard to find;

A reason to live under such shun

But to power through provides a better reason,

To accept the world as it is.

    Beautiful poem! It's interesting how we can freeze feelings from a certain period of time with our art. Even though you may not feel like this now, it's a great way to reflect on what you went through. Great work!

    We don't always have to accept the world we are allowed to want change. But I did enjoy this poem thanks for sharing!
