I FELT LIKE SUNLIGHT TODAY

We all have those mornings where we wake up with the sunlight drenching our skin, the sounds of birds permeating the air thicker than laughter. We have time to linger snug and free beneath the cool sheets, toes and fingers curling loosely as we arch our back in a half-hearted attempt to shake off those last remnants of sleep. We all have those mornings where we wake up rejuvenated, muscles dutily stiff and sore until we soak them in the steaming heat of a shower to be washed new again. We bathe in the beams fighting through the frosted glass, run it with our fingers to tangle with our locks. A morning with the sun in our hair should be every morning because the light lingers long past dusk.
