World of Warcraft Classic became a thing when Blizzard finally gave in following years of gamers calling for Classic wow gold a return to the'vanilla' experience of Warcraft. Participants got their fix for years through different personal'heritage' servers but when Blizzard ordered Nostalrius, the biggest of these to close its doors back in 2016, lovers once more called for a formal'vanilla' server. Blizzard finally relented and declared World of Warcraft Classic during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2018.

When World of Warcraft originally launched back in 2004, it drew in a massive number of players and rapidly grew to have millions of readers worldwide. Aside from the sheer scale of this game, a large force behind the achievement of this MMO was the world in which it was set.

Azeroth has been around since the original Warcraft: Orcs and Humans launched in 1994 and the following Warcraft 2 games further assembled on the narrative and lore. Warcraft 3 was possibly the most popular of these ancient games also introduced us to many of the characters that goes on to play large roles in World of Warcraft, including Sylvanas Windrunner, Jaina Proudmore, and Arthas Menethil, among others.

So when World of Warcraft launched in 2004, all the lore, background, and places that was laid out in the earlier Warcraft games have been attracted to life within Blizzard's vast MMO.

If you have only got a couple of hours each week to dedicate to a MMO, Classic may not be the game for you personally and you may be better off considering modern Warcraft to fill that Azeroth-shaped hole. That being said, if you're not especially worried about endgame content like raiding or max-level dungeons and only wish to explore Azeroth because it had been in 2006 then by all means, carry on. But if you would like to enjoy everything that Classic has to offer, then you should be prepared to devote a lot of time not only levelling your character however completing different Attunement quests and grinding reputation to access a few of those late-game instances.

World of Warcraft Classic does not have these quality-of-life improvements that buy wow gold classic you may be used to in contemporary Warcraft - or indeed many other current MMOs. For starters, the scaling of enemies is a lot less forgiving and you could find yourself becoming quickly overwhelmed it you take on more than two enemies at once without preparation. Travelling from one spot to another in Classic Azeroth can be much more time consuming - flight points aren't as abundant as they are nowadays and with in-game gold less easily come by, you can find yourself struggling to save even buy your initial Riding Skill and mount.
