i like the way coins
make me think of you:
fingers and strings
and the way your pockets
are fit to burst with
magic tricks.

you are possibly my favorite song,
possibly the only song
i've ever really lived.

i like the way your laughter feels
inside of me, full;
every time i look in your eyes
i learn something new.

is this what content feels like?

    I'm interested by your use of "content" because from the early stanzas, I felt that the feelings described as more than content: deep happiness, even love. I really enjoyed your use of imagery.

      So my husband and I have a pretty unique story in that we fell in love at first sight and he moved in like two days later, both at a time when we were close to giving up. It was amazing finding out what true love and happiness felt like, and that ultimately it was feeling content with everything because we had each other. Also, his pockets are always full of magic tricks and other things haha

    This is definitely what love feels like. I also wanted to know your interpretation of content too because sometimes it could mean "I'm happy enough and like settling," and then it could be, "this is great, I'm comfortable with this, I'm secure and happy with this."

      It's more about being content with contentedness. You don't feel the need to search for something more because this is what you needed all along.

    Very sweet images here, as most of your poems have! Very nice!
