She walked with mystery
as though it were her deep perfume --
so many veils
and maze-like layers

But underneath
at the center
at the core
where her self should reside

There was nothing

except that she was
terribly afraid

    Rick, great piece. I think this reflects many who are headed for the altar. They do all of the work to make the day perfect but forget who they are making it perfect for. I think we all lose ourselves a bit in searching to be accepted. Thank you for sharing. Have a great week.
