LITTLE SPARROW LOVE

He walks in wonder

At my smallness

At my sparrow feet

And I love to feel his arms

Roll me into the crook of his bend like a sheet of butcher paper

Or a map, snapped back to the ceiling

By an excited professor

If I tilt my head just right

Like a dog asking for scraps

Forehead will brush his stubble

This is beautiful. The vulnerability of love.
