Parents are beginning to use CBD more and more on their children for things such as sleep problems, autism, anxiety, and so much more. As we all know, CBD carries an abundance of benefits for the mind and body. Wouldn't it be great if it was made available to everyone so even our children's health could benefit from it? Well, I have good news for you!

Since this all-natural option is nonaddictive, doesn't cause a high effect, and has a low risk for side-effects, it seems like the go-to for a child's health problems. CBD is absolutely safe for children. In fact, they can benefit in a magnitude of ways when given CBD however, there are certain methods of intake to avoid and some that work best for children. That is what you will learn in this article.

How can CBD benefit kids?

It is heartbreaking watching the child you helped create struggle with a condition that you can't do anything about. Most parents aren't aware that CBD is an option for their kids, so they continue to give prescription meds that have a gigantic list of side-effects and risks.
True, CBD may not be a cure-all, miracle drug but there are many conditions that CBD can help reduce symptoms of at the very least.
If your child struggles with any of the following, CBD could benefit you more than you will ever know until you give it a try.

Epilepsy- Especially Dravet Syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. There is only one CBD medication that is FDA approved and it is for the treatment of these two heart-breaking forms of epilepsy and this drug goes by the name Epidiolex. This medication is safe for children 2 years and older so why not give it a second look?
ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)- Since CBD helps control hyperactivity and improve focus in children as well as adults, it's a perfect all-natural option for controlling ADHD in children.
Anxiety- Many children experience anxiety at some point in their childhood. One of CBDs main benefits is relieving anxiety. In fact, it has been proven to cause a maintained decrease in anxiety in young children who have been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress syndrome.
Pain- Pain is a symptom of numerous illnesses. Needless to say, CBD is a natural cure for pain without nasty side-effects like stomach bleeding.
Nausea- Cannabis has always been said to relieve nausea and vomiting, but people were reluctant to use it since it was considered a drug. There are now at least 4 studies in which CBD is studied for the relief of nausea due to chemotherapy.

Best ways to administer CBD to kids

When introducing any new medication to your child, start out gradually and give with food since it is fat-soluble. This helps maximize the benefits of CBD for your child.

It's best to work in conjunction with your doctor on this for best results because he or she will guide you through so that you don't have to go at it blindly.

Some of the best forms to give children come in edibles since a kid would more likely eat a yummy sucker or gummy bear than to drink some bitter tasting oil.

Figuring out how much to give your child can be tricky because there's usually no set dosage chart to go by, plus it depends on what condition you are attempting to treat.

Many parents have said they give their 10-year-old 25 mg twice per day, so that is a good place to start if your child is 10 or over but
keep in mind, it is said that you cannot overdose on CBD so don't stress over this too much. Start small and increase the dosage over time judging by the effects it has on your child.

What to avoid

It may be a given but vaping or smoking should never be allowed as a form of administering your child's daily dosage of CBD because they both have potentially harmful side-effects and not much is known about vaping CBD oil.

Final advice

If you want a safe and natural way to take care of various illnesses and disorders your child may suffer from, CBD is the answer for you! Make sure you are getting the highest quality CBD for your child to eliminate the chance of unwanted chemicals and low-quality oil. Keep in mind, you get what you pay for. This is a true statement in the CBD world! Good luck and I wish you all the success!

Thanks for sharing this info. I am interested in trying it for my ADHD once my pregnancy is done. I will have to do some more research though to see if it is safe for nursing mothers.
