THE WORLD WITHOUT ART

Art is dead
the gallery doors are closed
the lights are out
and all that is left on the walls are faded outlines
and a faint echo saying,
"I meant to stop in."
the artists are looking for more walls
but they are becoming harder and harder to find
art is dead and we killed it
like the dinosaurs
rainforests
the Dodo
and simply said:
Meh, someone else will fix it.

Your about for this poem is so true, and amazing. That is how people look at art, for monetary value, and that's it. Definitely physical art like sculptures and painting. It also translates to music, as people want it for free as if the artist haven't spent thousands, blood, sweat, tears, and put their soul's story into it.

This is a sad reality. I realized this when I did a campaign in my advertising and public relations course, where I found out people weren't buying as they'd like. It was more about the events surrounding the art than the art itself for many, sadly. -
Wow this really hit home. There is definitely that with that at will become nothing. Art is meant to be seen and appreciated, not hidden in the closet like you say.

As a visual artist, I relate. No one buys photographs or paintings. And many people think of them as unimportant. Which is their loss and, as you say, also our loss.

I like how dismal your poems kinda seem but like, they're observations taht are very relatable
A lot of my writing is a reflection of living with depression. I still try to see the good in things.
