I sat at the end of our old bed
and leaned again the post 
You're destroying our marriage, I said
She looked up from the book 
she was pretending to read
"You've said all of this before"
But you're destroying our marriage
"You sound like a broken record"
But you're destroying our marriage
She got up and walked away
"You know I have better things to do"

I'm leaving, I said
"But you can't just walk out"
I'm leaving, I said
"But you're my best friend"
I'm leaving, I said
"But you're the only person I feel comfortable around"
See you later  alligator
and I got up and walked away
