IT IS NOT ME, IT IS YOU

How to get past the inexplicable  lie?

How to your move on when all you want to do is cry?

How do you feign the desire to start anew?

How do you confess it is not me, this time it is really you?

Can the hurt be overcome or will it  destroy?

Breaking your heart, so that its defenses deploy.

The pain is unsettling, something you never thought you would know.

How do you say goodbye, when you know it is better to let go?

You escape inside, hiding from the world the scars that run deep.

Dying slowly from the secrets you keep.

Will you let yourself fade in this eternal hell you have made?

Is this the payment you receive, is this the price you have paid?

You feel your soul shattering, drawing you into the abyss.

Wishing you could return to the happiness and bliss.

Looking back though, were those just lies that were told?

Will the truth come out as the pieces you unfold?

Searching for answers that are hidden from view.

This is the time to admit, it is not me, it is you.

Excellent progression to the intended conclusion. I love the emotion and its expression. One note: Watch the placement of commas. Some lines read better without commas. Some lines need commas.

Thank you, Dina. I appreciate the feedback. I will keep that in mind. Have a marvelous weekend.
