BE CAREFUL WHO YOUR FRIENDS ARE

"Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also. . . . For this reason believers traditionally have not allied themselves with human agencies which purport to back a specific cause. When political or business considerations are in play, moral absolutes tend to fall by the wayside. The wise men were fervently seeking to acknowledge the newborn king which had been born. With ill intent, Herod pretended to have the same goal in mind. Only divine warning kept the wise men from reporting back as they were asked. Be careful the alliances you engage in.
