HOW TO FIGHT UNHEALTHY FOOD CRAVINGS

You may be wondering what it's like to eat to live. And how to balance a healthy lifestyle on your budget. Maybe dieting is too time consuming and you need some real day to day tips to help you feel like your best self. Now, I won't lie and say it's extremely easy, but fighting cravings is a sacrifice that will reap rewards to those who care.
Practice self control when it comes to sugar. Sugar, although you don't want to admit, is a silent killer. The craving and lack of self-control it causes goes seemingly unnoticed, but being aware of the problem can go a long way. Do you have processed white sugar in your coffee in the morning? And then in that mid-day muffin? And then during your "midnight snack" hour? Don't binge. Just fight the craving one moment at a time. Learn to replace sugary snacks with fruit. Substitute processed sugar ALWAYS with agave, maple syrup, & honey- things that allow your body to absorb the sugar slooooowly.
Don't try to shove all these healthy foods into your body all at once. During the day, think of one vegetable you want to eat (as we all seem to forget to eat our veggies) and make that for dinner along with whatever else your having that day. One step at a time, one vegetable at a time. For me, that takes the stress out of eating healthy and helps me narrow my focus.
No candy. I can go on and on about how bad candy can be for you. Your teeth will suffer too! This much sugar in a sweet is horrendous for your body and you might have to deal with an impromptu dentist visit. Trust me, I know I this from experience. Instead of eating unhealthily and daydreaming about your Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, drink some water and enjoy some fresh watermelon. I love watermelon for its amazing water content and natural sweetness. You'll feel so much better after this one.
Have a glass of fresh-squeezed lemon water. In the middle of detoxing the heavy junk out of your diet, some lemon water can come in handy to help you clean your blood and perhaps your liver (I don't know, I'm not a doctor.) But you know what I'm saying. Enjoy your liquids and keep your blood clean by always hydrating. My personal theory is that the more water you drink, the more relaxed you will feel.
Take a long deep breath. Life's not all about healthy eating. Give yourself time to adjust. Go to the organic health food store and just enjoy looking at all the amazing nutritious products. Motivate yourself. And eat healthy :)

This is so true. Sugar makes such a big difference in your health and weight. Even in the seemingly healthiest places. -
Great article. You definitely have given great tips, like sugar replacements, and how to fit healthy foods into your daily eating regimen. Lemon water is a great remedy as well.

Great reminder! I try to keep a pretty healthy diet everyday, but do get off track once in a while. I think I'm going to implement the lemon water. Sounds like a good one!
