high up on a mountain,
a smokey haze hiding the peak,
the smell of something familiar in the air.
She saw the chief of the island,
and fell in love,
though suspected that he would not come to her.
Filled with sadness and anger,
she caused an eruption,
covering him,
and the island,
with lava and flames.
Her new home,
an ashy volcano instead of a hazy mountain peak,
filled her with satisfaction.
