Private Notes

I dreamed of the Great Pyramids,

the proud standing monuments.

Edifices of tarnished yellow

signifying unity.

Together they stand

symbolizing strength and power.


Though meant to be places of rest,

burial sites for the royals,

is it not ironic,

that rest is never given,

never given by the buzzing tourists

dying to see a powerful symbol of death?

    Great piece! I have always wanted to see the pyramids in person...but now I kinda feel like I shouldn't LOL. Thanks for sharing!

      Thanks! But don't feel like you shouldn't haha.They are still magnificent to see, just should also be mindful that they are in fact burial sites.
