I’m not really sure how to work the group chat feature on here but feel free to brainstorm in the comments and talk to other writers about what they would want to see from you including me.

Jaylen, have you already started the chat? I looked earlier and it still says it has not started that I will be notified when it has started.

Ugh, the group chat process is not working. I tried earlier. Oh well. What are people thinking we should be writing about?

Trudi, what problem did you have? I missed this chat.

The chat has been reopened, so we can try again. If there are any problems, please message me. I’ll be keeping an eye on the chat for issues. Thanks for your patience, Trudi 😊

I am looking to get some traction for a book in the editorial process. What do you think would help with getting readership? It's a love story wrapped in a historical fiction genre, kind of 50 Shades of Meow meets The Mummy for readers of the mag, CatFancy (now Catster). Any thoughts? I love writing short stories, usually 750-words, but this is an 85,000-word monstrosity.

Wow, this sounds like quite a feat, Trudi! 85,000 words! Kudos to you :) I would start with social media. It's a powerful thing, and the right content can go viral very quickly. Have you posted any teasers of your work to social media? Also, you can try paid social media ad campaigns. They don't have to be too costly if you use Facebook, and you can target your campaign audience so you aren't wasting views. A promotional Youtube video may be another route you can try. Of course, I will be happy to share any teasers you post on WriteSpike to our social media outlets, and I can tag you when I do. Best of luck on your latest adventure :)
